ALA-Massachusetts is a project of South Coastal Counties Legal Services, Inc. (SCCLS), a private non-profit law firm providing legal assistance eligible low-income clients. Since 2005, ALA-Massachusetts has been funded through the Corporation for National and Community Service and also receives support from the Massachusetts Bar Foundation. ALA-Massachusetts is administered through our state service commission, the Massachusetts Service Alliance, and housed at the Justice Center of Southeast Massachusetts, a wholly owned subsidiary of SCCLS. In 2017-2018, ALA-Massachusetts received $494,280 in funding from CNCS, which represents 38% of our total program budget. The CNCS investment is be matched by $327,622 in public funding and $480,182 in private funding.
